Track by track analysis of The Soul of Cindy Scott album
Coming up soon. Before my memory fades. Many of the tracks on the album include vocals and arrangements taken from alternate takes and mixes, some repair work using vocals from different sources, overdubs and general remastering.
Bits and Bobs
First off, The Soul of Cindy Scott Spotify release is imminent. The album should be there by the time you read this post. Secondly, this month is vital to the continuation of Driving Wheel Records. It's either our last shout or the start of a new direction and new beginning. The Life Beats EP is back on track after many delays. Sessions recommence next week. Touch wood! And a major new project is on the cards.

Life Beats EP
After a delay of just over a year, the recording sessions for Cindy Scott's Life Beats EP finally got under way yesterday. Two mixes, a vocal mix and instrumental mix of Never Can Say Goodbye, were recorded at The United States of Media in Birmingham, England. Produced by John Purser & yours truly! The background vocals feature 3 very special ladies and this is without doubt Driving Wheel Records best ever production. We are now up in Top Gear.

The Soul of Cindy Scott - Best Of Album
Well I have been busy these past few weeks, even if I do say so myself. I'm listening to the first mixdown of The Soul of Cindy Scott. 17 tracks in all and a running length of nearly 70 minutes. The album contains remastered tracks from The Loving Country 1 & 2 as well as previously unreleased recordings.

Record Collector Magazine - May 2011 Edition
Check out the "Letter of The Month" in the May edition of Record Collector magazine (Page 7). Entitled "Supreme Challenge", Mark Tiller's letter is an update on the piece about Jean & Ernie Terrell, as originally published in the May 2010 edition and details Cindy Scott's connection with The Supremes. My thanks to Mark Tiller. Hey! it was great to see my name mentioned.
