Studio Session 9 October 2009
After a long summer break, a final mix of Saturday Night, Sunday Morning was recorded today at MPM Studios. Admitedly we are running a little behind schedule. But perfection does take time. Here's what we have so far:
Remember Me (2008) - recorded at The United States Of Media, Birmingham, England - July 2008
Surrender (2008) - recorded at The United States Of Media, Birmingham, England -July 2008
In Love Maybe (2009 Radio Mix) - recorded at M2 Studios, Wolverhampton, England -January 2009
Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing - recorded at The United States Of Media, Birmingham, England -June 2009
Remember Me (Diva Mix) - recorded at The United States Of Media, Birmingham, England -June 2009
Saturday Night, Sunday Morning - recorded at MPM Studios, Walsall, England - October 2009
A number of previously unreleased mixes recorded prior to July 2008 may also be considered for Cindy's upcoming 'best of' album. However, the above tracks are definitely confirmed for inclusion. Further studio sessions have been booked for November & December 2009.

Studio session 7 August 2009

Pre-Production moved to MPM Studios in Walsall, England on 7 August 2009. Work also commenced on a brand new version of Saturday Night, Sunday Morning, produced by Paul Shepperd, the first in a series of new mixes planned to take place at MPM over the coming months. This new mix is slightly slower than the Loving Country original and has a distinct 70's groove. I feel so happy about this track, I can't stop playing it.

With added Zing & Zest!
A new version of Remember Me, featuring previously unused vocal takes and additional background vocals was completed yesterday. The mix, which started life way back in December 2004, had been gathering dust in my archives until just a few weeks ago. Also filed away, abandoned but not forgotten, was an unfinished recording of Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing. This version, if completed, would have made it onto the final mixdown of The Loving Country 2. Two rough mixes were laid down in December 2003, but were subsequently shelved. As a result, the original demo, recorded during Cindy Scott’s visit to the UK in July 2000, was remastered and included on the album instead. Now several years later, Remember Me (Revisted) is complete, with a new 8 bar intro and added zing. Ain’t Nothing Like The Real Thing is very close to how I originally intended it to be, and with added zest, all thanks to John Purser, producer and owner of The United States of Media.

Studio session 19 June 2009

Two tracks were completed today at The United States Of Media, Birmingham, England. Both are confirmed for inclusion on The Soul of Cindy Scott and more details will be revealed very soon. I would like to express my sincere thanks to John Purser for his expertise and for producing two supreme mixes.

In Love Maybe
In Love Maybe - the first single to be taken from The Soul of Cindy Scott. In Love Maybe was originally recorded as a demo in Los Angeles, way back in 1983. The first completed version appeared on The Loving Country 2, Cindy Scott's 2nd studio album for Driving Wheel Records, some 21 years later. Recorded in January 2009 at M2 studios in Wolverhampton, England - this definitive mix is available to download from iTunes, Amazon MP3 & Napster.
